1. Accommodation, Food and Travel
  a)
Students are expected to stay in approved homes and lodges only.  We can arrange accommodation in the proximity of the Yoga Centre for those pupils who have requested assistance in this regard. This is a courtesy to facilitate the pupil's stay in Dehradun. The accommodation usually consists of a private bed/bath and a shared kitchen; contact us upon arrival and we will direct you to your accommodation.

  b)
Most accommodations have a kitchen attached where students can cook their own food or request for prepared meals.  There are also several restaurants nearby.

2. Registration, Reconfirmation and Cancellation

Registration for Yoga courses is done in advance by e-mail, fax, or letter. Click here to fill in and submit an Application Form. Ideally, you should apply four months in advance.

As soon as you know of your exact date and time of arrival please inform us about that. Also, if you have asked us to book your accommodation please remind us of at this juncture.

Do not submit the application form if you are not certain about attending the course.  In case you have to cancel due to unavoidable circumstances, please inform us in good time.

3. Payment

Fees have to be paid at the Orientation Session, which will be held just before the commencement of formal lessons. All fees should be paid in Indian rupees. No fees are to be sent in advance. There are plenty of ATM machines and banks in Dehradun.

4. Schedule

The exact time table varies from course to course.  Generally Asana classes are held from 8 to 10 pm, Pranayama and lectures from 4 to 6 pm. Free days and spare time are spent practicing, reading in the library or local sightseeing.

Please contact the health department of your country and allow enough time for the necessary vaccinations. There is no malaria in Dehradun.

6. Dress and Conduct

Dress should be modest at all times, in class as well as around town.
Around Town: please cover your limbs, shoulders and midriff, do not wear clothes that are brief, transparent or very tight.
During Yoga Classes: dress for men - shorts (preferably Bermuda types) and T-shirt (with sleeves); and dress for women - track bottom, pyjama, Bermuda- type shorts, or tights and T-shirt that is long enough to cover midriff and tuck into the pants.

Students are expected to abstain from smoking and drinking. A vegetarian diet is highly recommended.  Further more, please note, display of affection in public runs against the grain of Indian culture. Please desist from this.
